Faster and more reliable search & cloud downloads. * New http engine based on okhttp, uses pooled connections, less threads, If you don’t have time to scroll through all the changes, just know that we’re just getting started and we’re keen and focused on building the best file sharing clients of the planet thanks to your support. Next we’ll share all of the work we were able to do this year thanks to your support on both FrostWire for Desktop and FrostWire for Android. Through the use of this library we were able to bring the number of crashes to an all time low and we’ve increased user satisfaction on both FrostWire for Desktop and FrostWire for Android.īest of all, several other projects have started using jlibtorrent on android, linux, and even set top box software, some of them are already contributing to the source code with patches, feedback, questions and feature requests. The goal is to put the powerful, lightweight and efficient libtorrent library into the hands of Java programmers worldwide to quickly be able to develop apps and services of enterprise quality taking advantage of the decentralization powers BitTorrent brings to the table in much less time than coding and building binaries with C/C++. Thanks to your support we’ve been able to survive lots of obstacles put in front of us in 2015, along the way we made some technological breakthroughs and created a new open source Java library called “jlibtorrent”, I think what happened here was that the client moved the file to my new hard drive without downloading it, and I didn't think this was possible unless the client had access to the downloaded file to move it to a new location. If you told a friend about FrostWire, RTed one of our posts, liked or shared on FB, sent us a donation, bought some gear on the FrostWire store, or used FrostWire this year, a million thanks for your support, we really appreciate it! This torrent also has only 1 slow peer stuck at 82.3% (where I got stuck last time downloading it as well) and while not a huge file, I really don't think the torrent downloaded between me starting up the PC and noticing this (mere minutes). There's no way the torrent downloaded upon restarting, as in the client it was stuck at 'Connecting to Peers'. BitTorrent must have checked it when the PC restarted as it always does. I played the file and it works too! I checked the torrent in the client and both of its download location and relocate were as I had set them, with 'force re-check' option now greyed out. Today, I noticed that one of those 'volume not mounted' torrents were now in my new hard drive and with the exact same size/progress as when it stopped downloading in my old hard drive. Last night, I was trying to move some of these torrents to a new hard drive to restart downloading with 'Set Download Location' and 'Relocate' options but it wasn't really working so I just shut my PC down to resume it later. So, a while back my hard drive I was using to download torrents became corrupt beyond repair, and as a result I am now left with a lot of completed torrents with "Error: Former volume not mounted".
